Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the data products and services provided by HangingRoad (“we”, “us”, or “our”) via hangingroad.com. By subscribing to or using our services, you (“Customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
HangingRoad provides technographic signal data — automated detections of technology adoption events on publicly accessible websites. This is not a contact data service.
Data Description & Accuracy Disclaimer
2.1 Nature of the data
HangingRoad delivers signals based on automated crawling and fingerprinting of publicly accessible websites. Each signal represents a detected change in the technology stack of a domain within the stated detection window. Signals reflect detections within the past 7 days from the delivery date.
2.2 Accuracy disclaimer
HangingRoad makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of any data delivered. Specifically:
- Signals are generated by automated processes and may contain false positives or detection errors.
- A detected technology change does not guarantee the company is currently using the detected technology.
- Company scores (0–100) are algorithmic estimates and should not be treated as objective assessments.
- Domain-level data may not reflect the actual decision-making entity behind a website.

4.1 Scope of personal data
HangingRoad delivers domain-level technographic data. We do not knowingly deliver personal data as defined under GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). Data fields include: domain, country, detected technology, previous technology, detection date, and algorithmic score.

If Customer enriches HangingRoad signals with personal data (names, email addresses, phone numbers) from other sources, Customer assumes full responsibility as Data Controller under GDPR for any subsequent processing. HangingRoad acts as a Data Processor only for any personal data incidentally processed in the delivery of services. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available upon request.
4.3 Lawful basis for outreach
